In combination with the flair of modern Cusco, it is one of the most fascinating cities in the country. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed at the airport and taken to your hotel in Cusco. After check-in at the hotel, you will start your tour through Cusco. In the heart of the Incan empire, at the Plaza de Armas, you begin your tour with the visit of the impressive Cathedral. Furthermore, you make your way through little alleys that are edged with Incan walls until you reach the temple of the sun, Koricancha. This religious site was used by the Spaniards as a basis for the construction of the Catholic Church Santo Domingo. Overnight at the Hotel Belmond Palacio Nazarenas 5* (suite room) Day 2 - January 13, 2015 You will be picked up at given time at the hotel and brought to Wanchaq station to take the bus (on shared basis) to Rio Sagrado hotel. LAN #22022 leaves Cusco at 9:50am and arrives in Lima at 11:15am Lima. - The Peruvian capital was founded 1535 by the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizzaro. Here, you will encounter colonial richness and the vibrating vitality of an oriental bazar. The city has melancholic winters where the fog „garua" rules and also hot and humid summers. There are huge districts where poor people live but also rich quarters with comfortable, old houses and the smell of jasmine in the evening. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed at the airport to start your city tour to Lima. During your city tour you visit the main attractions of Lima. Drive to the main square where you will see the Cathedral, the Government Palace, Archbishop`s Palace and the City Hall. It is also known for its exhibition of erotic ceramics of the Mochica culture. Finally, visit to the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores known for its great number of entertainment and shopping centres, bars and excellent restaurants. The tour will end up at the "Parque de los enamorados" (Lovers' Park) from where you will have a great view of the Pacific Ocean.
