Quebec City Tour With Post-Cruise Pier Pickup, Airport DropoffExplore > Canada > Quebec > Quebec City Tour With Post-Cruise Pier Pickup, Airport Dropoff
OverviewCalling all history, architecture, and culture buffs to Lévis and Québec City! Spend a memorable day exploring a pair of communities connected by the Québec Bridge: Lévis, an attractive Victorian town founded in 1826, and Québec City, the birthplace of French North America and the only walled city north of Mexico. On this tour you will see/visit: - Pier pickup - Airport dropoff - Vehicle, driver and licensed guide - Québec Bridge - Old Lévis - Place Royal - Upper Town - La Place d'Armes - Frontenac Area - Parliament Hill - Amazing views! Your tour begins by heading out to the Québec Bridge--the longest cantilevered bridge span in the world and a major engineering feat. We'll travel along the river road, which boasts the best view of Québec City. For those who appreciate architecture, Old Levis (founded 300 years ago) is rich in historic buildings and is a stone's throw away from a terrace overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Next, we'll board the ferry and pass by Place Royale, the city's most impressive square. A visit to Place Royale is like a step back in time to the early days of New France. We'll walk along the pedestrian-only Petit-Champlain (the oldest shopping street in North America), lined with art galleries, craft shops, and designer boutiques; and marvel at the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church, the oldest stone church in North America (1688). Then we'll continue into Upper Town, where we'll see La Place d'Armes (Army Square) and, most likely, street performers and musicians, as well as La Terrasse Dufferin (a manor built in 1830) and Place l'Hotel de Ville with the impressive City Hall right in front of it. And, of course, we'll walk through the Frontenac area of Québec, including the famous Château with its luxurious interior. The tour ends with a visit to Parliament Hill and the Plains of Abraham (Battlefields Park), one of the largest and most prestigious urban parks in the world. - Please wear comfortable walking shoes. You must be able to walk on uneven surfaces. - The cost of the ferry ride is not included in the price of this tour.
