Tallinn Old Town With Kadriorg-Pirita...A Shoretrips Value Shared TourExplore > Estonia > Tallinn Old Town With Kadriorg-Pirita...A Shoretrips Value Shared Tour
OverviewCapture the highlights of Tallinn on this value shared tour! Tallinn might be the most unknown commodity on your itinerary but we'd be willing to bet this city goes down as your most memorable. The preservation of its roots and history are unparalleled by any other capital in the Baltic and the blend of history with modern developments sets the perfect timeline for following city's development. Starting in the Kadriorg-Pirtita District you will see the remnants of Estonia's early Russian rule. The highlight of the area is Kadriorg Park which began construction in 1718 by order of the Russian Tsar, Peter I. On foot you will pass the distinct Kadriorg Art Museum and the Mikkeli Museum but the main attraction is the stunning Kadriorg Palace. This Baroque structure is enclosed by well groomed gardens and intricate fountains. It was constructed as a dedication to the Tsar's wife, Catherine. The climax of your tour will be the guided walk of the Old Town. Cobble-stoned streets, red roofs and medieval style houses cover what is considered the best preserved old town in Northern Europe. With an upper and lower level you will find that every turn could be considered picturesque. A fortified wall with 25 towers and a Town Hall Square serving as the social heart of the city for 7 centuries epitomize the unique appeal of the area. A 15-20 minute break is built into your Old Town walking tour for a chance to get a small pastry or coffee at a local cafe. - Please note the tour involves a lot of walking and comfortable shoes are strongly recommended. The Old Town is not accessible by vehicle. - Coffee, tea, or water and a pastry are included in the price during a break in the Lower Old Town. - Please be advised that some of the smaller ships handling Baltic itineraries are more difficult for us to confirm. They often arrive at odd times and dock in smaller ports which make combining services formidable. We are speaking specifically of Crystal, Oceania, Azamara, Silver Seas, Viking, Seabourn and Regent. We will do our best but it would be preferred if you select a private excursion to secure the service. - This tour accommodates a maximum of 24 passengers. - This excursion can not be done as a pre-cruise tour or a post-cruise tour. It must be round trip transportation from the cruise ship pier during a normal port day in the itinerary. Even if your ship overnights at the back end of your itinerary, unfortunately, we cannot run this tour that way. - This tour takes a maximum of 24 passengers. - This excursion can not be done as a pre-cruise tour or a post-cruise tour.
