Overview

Famously described by Rudyard Kipling as the 'finest walk in the world', the Milford Track is internationally acclaimed for its spectacular scenery.

Walking the full length of the Milford Track through to Milford Sound takes four days. However, if you are short on time, you can still experience a taste of this stunning hiking route.

Our leisurely guided day walk takes you to some of the Milford Track's highlights, including ancient beech forest, the beautiful Clinton River and wide grassy flats.

For those undertaking the full four-day Milford Track, Real Journeys also provides a lake transfer service from Te Anau Downs to the beginning of the track at Glade Wharf.
