Overview
Spend half a day exploring the important sites in and around Ephesus.
You will meet your official Turkish guide at the cruise ship pier and embark on a 25 minute drive through the peach orchards and the cotton fields. Arrive in Selcuk, where the House of Virgin Mary and the Roman city of Ephesus are located.
On this half day tour you will:• Temple of Artmesis

We'll start off this half day tour with a visit to the Temple of Artemis, which is said to have been destroyed at least seven times and rebuilt just as many times. The temple is so impressive that it's actually one of Seven of the Wonders of the ancient world. The whole temple was entirely marble except for its tile covered wooden roof. It was built as a dedication to the Greek Goddess Artemis. Learn all about the interesting history of this site with your guide.
We'll explore Ephesus, founded by female warriors (Amazons). Learn about the different groups of native people and how it changed over thousands of years. There will be many photo opportunities.
See the Odeion, Baths, and many columns and other architecturally interesting monuments and ruins, including the Celsus Library, whose facade has been carefully reconstructed from all original pieces.
All entrance fees are included in the price of this tour. The cost of lunch, drinks or any other extras are not included.
