Overview

At Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation, Kauai lives up to its nickname, "The Garden Isle." Located in the popular resort area of Poipu Beach - consistently rated one of the world's best beaches by readers of Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast - our quaint, low-rise vacation condos in Kauai hark back to Hawaii's 19th-century plantation past.

Relax and unwind amid 30 acres of exotic vegetation and gently rolling lawns at this lush beachfront resort. Each of our one- and two-bedroom Poipu condos features a full kitchen, spacious living and dining area, and private lanai - perfect for enjoying Kauai's magnificent weather.

Meander the winding paths of the exquisite Moir Gardens - home to unique cacti and rare orchids. Stroll across the street to browse or dine at Poipu Shopping Village. Vacationing with the kids? Our family-friendly Kauai condo setting provides access to Kiahuna Swim & Tennis Club - featuring 10 courts and a sparkling swimming pool with a waterslide and sand-bottom area for children.

Escape to the oldest of Hawaii's major islands, and you will soon discover why Kauai - the Garden Isle - is becoming more beautiful with age. To this day, many portions of its fertile landscape are so majestic - so wild and utterly beautiful - that they cannot be tamed.

Experience the full spectrum of Kauai activities, as varied as the terrain itself. Hike the Alakai Swamp Trail - where rainforest mud bogs, rainbow - hooded valleys, and Hawaii's rarest trees and birds await. Drift idly down the Wailua River to Fern Grotto, where a soft drapery of feather-leafed vegetation scales the walls of a shallow cave. Descend into the river-cut gorge of Waimea Canyon, nicknamed the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific" for its spectacular views and vivid hues. Or explore the popular resort area of Poipu, home of the famed Moir Gardens and sun-drenched beaches. Depend on the Outrigger Condominium Collection to bring you within reach the most stunningly beautiful, engaging, and fun things to do in Kauai.

At day's end, enjoy the deliciously modern décor of Plantation Gardens Restaurant. At Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation, you're ensured the utmost privacy to enjoy Kauai from a picture-perfect location.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   We thought this trip would be a one time experience but we can't wait to go back. This was our first visit to the island and our first time flying. We were a little worried about the lack of air conditioning and the placement of our Condo because we had read reviews about the highway being noisy and we come from a hot climate. Once we arrived it was late night so we got settled and went to bed. VERY QUIET clean and welcoming. The next morning I walked out on to the beautiful grounds kept up like a golf course and out to the parking lot which was also beautiful and was astonished by how close the beautiful beach was, there also was a surf school giving lessons if wanted. The highway was like a city street and driver's were very accommodating when standing at the crosswalk and I wouldn't say it was noisy or too busy considering it seems everything dies down after 10pm and the cars sound like waves if you can tell the difference. The pool and cabana club that was included with the Condo was on the other side of the highway and a short walk but who doesn't walk on vacation? It was awesome, it had a workout area, multiple tennis courts which were free to check out the rackets and balls, and provides your pool towels. It also included a bar and dinning area where we made fast friends with the bartender who offered to take us kayaking and Atving. Unfortunately we had to leave before. All in all we loved our location and don't think we will be needing to search for other accommodations the next time we visit. This place met all of our family needs. Best place for families. Also very close to shopping and dinning. More is a short drive away in each direction

Review:   If you like camping next to a barn then you'll love it here. No a/c, no privacy, but pretty views, and they are timeshares. Even though these units are advertised with a/c and having a washer/dryer they do not. The units do not have a/c but have screened flaps on the front entry and screened flaps by the balcony. Then they have a couple fans placed through out. With that being said, from the outside you can look through the flaps into the bedroom, entry way, and shower. If you wish to close the flaps for privacy, you'll sweat....a lot. Because the only thing between you and the outside are screens and flaps, you can hear everything that goes on outside or listen to your neighbors conversations if you wish. Then of course the wild chickens crowing at 6:30 in the morning. You don't even need an alarm clock! The washer/dryer they promised you is locked in a closet where you can't even access them. But you can pay extra to use the ones they have at the office. Be sure to bring your own towels, because you have to use the same towels at least two days in a row or they'll charge $15 if you need new ones sooner than that. The room we got was not particularly as nice as the ones pictured. The last renovation in the rooms seems like it was in the 90's. They outside of the buildings look good. I will say, it seemed clean, and the views were pretty. But that is the only compliments I can give it.

Review:   No windows? No air conditioning? OMG. How will I survive? Comfortable trade winds that blow continuously. The rooms are condominium style and the room rates are very reasonable. My room came equipped with everything you find at home, all the equipment needed at the beach, and plenty to do just a walk away. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Review:   The room itself was great, it came with a kitchen stocked with pots and pans which was a plus. The service was lacking. The front desk called us 2-3 times per day (when we were present) which was a little aggressive (no I did not answer as I did not wa feel obligated). Also be careful there is a $160 "checkout cleaning fee" which is apparently not listed on some third party sites. Never encountered a fee for standard service before.
