Sintra And The Estoril Coast - Group TripExplore > Portugal > Lisbon > Sintra And The Estoril Coast - Group TripOverviewA whirl-wind tour through Sintra and the charming Estoril Coast! This tour will take you to the charming Estoril Coast, home to famous beaches and the pretty towns of Estoril and Cascais. About the town of Sintra and its natural surroundings, we can say that it is one of Portugal's ex-libris, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site! Enjoy your ride as your guide imparts his knowledge of the history and the land surrounding Lisbon as you make your way to Sintra. Sintra is a mix of natural and manmade beauty: fantasy castles set amid exotic tropical plants, lush green valleys, and craggy hilltops with hazy views of Lisbon and the Atlantic. Take a walk through the typical historical center, accompanied by your guide. Your journey continues to Cascais. Once just a small fishing village, this town managed to maintain its seafaring traditions while melding with the aristocratic and royal presences of the late 19th and early 20th century. Passing through its animated town center, you’ll find the cosmopolitan life side-by-side with the Atlantic. From this area you'll also have a great view of the Estoril Casino and its gardens. Your guide will take you on a sightseeing tour along the coastal road of Estoril, one of the most beautiful and charming itineraries of all the Lisbon surroundings. On your way back, you will pass through Belém, a site that is home to several important historical monuments. - Cruise ship passengers will be met at the cruise terminal by a representative of the tour company, who will then escort you to your touring vehicle, about a 5-10 minute walk from the pier. Hotel guests will be picked up at their hotel. - All palaces are closed December 25th and January 1st. - Entrance fees, meals and personal expenses are not included in the cost of the tour. - Please note: You will be charged an additional supplement for tours taking place on the weekend (Saturday, Sunday) or holidays.
