Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Very nice, modern hotel. Room was excellent, very clean bathroom. Nice grounds. However, I shared the place with two large tour groups, and they were clearly priority. They filled the restaurant that evening, and breakfast was no better. All the tables that were actually laid were either occupied or had reserved notices on them. I ended up getting some food and setting up my own table in a corner of the bar. I was clearly an afterthought. So, in conclusion if you stay here under normal conditions you’d probably give it five stars, but if there is a tour group go somewhere else.

Review:   We were there for 4 nights for the blues and jazz festival. Staff were brilliant, unit was nice, venue for the entertainment worked well and the winter special made it great value.

Review:   Huge rooms with 2 king size beds & a balcony. Located about a 10 minute walk from the sea front with restaurants & bars but we ate in the hotel restaurant couldn't be bothered to go out & well the steak & chips was delicious & not expensive. They do have happy hour but you only get $1 off each drink. Not a very big pool but we don't swim so didn't bother us.
