Halifax By Design - A Custom Photography TourExplore > Canada > Nova Scotia > Halifax By Design - A Custom Photography TourOverviewDuring this 5-hour photography tour, you'll have the chance to customize your itinerary. Who can fail to be inspired by Halifax? Whether you wish to explore city or country, street scapes or wilderness, people or nature, past or present, the Halifax area will challenge and delight your artistic eye. You set the itinerary, and Halifax will set the stage. This tour includes: - Private vehicle for 5 hours and maximum 300 kilometers driving - Expert photographer/driver/guide all-in-one! - Opportunity to customize your itinerary Your local guide has more than 30 years of professional experience as a landscape and nature photographer, most of it in Halifax. While your preferences will guide the itinerary, here are some possible excursions. Please note: It will not be possible to see everything mentioned below in one tour. These are simply suggestions for the tour focus for your photography tour: 1) Traditional fishing villages of the Chebucto Peninsula (at least six, including Peggy’s Cove) 2) The rugged Atlantic coastline--rugged headlands, granite cliffs, rocky shorelines, including the Peggy’s Cove Preservation Area 3) The gentle Atlantic coastline--sandy beaches, salt marshes, and forested peninsulas 4) Inland forests and lakes (vistas, wildflowers, autumn foliage, boreal forest) 5) City parks, gardens, and historic cemeteries - Please note: All tour times are local port times. - Please be aware that most Carnival Ships do not adjust to local time when in port. The actual time will be +1 from ship time. Please double-check with your cruise line. - In groups of 6, one traveler will not have a window seat. - Entrance fees, beverages, food, and any other extras are not included in the price of this tour. - Cameras are not provided. Please bring your own. - Water will be available at all times. Please notify us in advance if you will want to stop in a restaurant for lunch during the tour (lunch costs are not included in the tour fee), as this will effect planning for the day's activities. - This is a private tour, so if you wish to alter the itinerary “on the fly” it will often be possible to do so. We will try to be as flexible as possible. - The tour vehicle is not adapted for wheelchair use, but if a wheelchair user (collapsible wheelchair, no scooters) is able to transfer to and from a minivan vehicle seat, the tour itinerary can be modified accordingly. There are accessible washrooms and restaurants along the route, though none of the lighthouses are accessible. The guide has experience working with visitors with disabilities. You must notify ShoreTrips at the time of booking if someone in your party will be in a collapsible wheelchair. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
