Overview
Hands-on cooking experience in a palace overlooking the Grand Canal.
The Palazzo DonĂ , where your class takes place, overlooks the Grand Canal and dates back to the 16th century. The apartment, on the back section of the palace, boasts a view of a private garden with tall trees.
Experience local gastronomical traditions as you interact with a food expert during this hands-on cooking class.
Led by an experienced Italian chef, this behind the scenes lesson will reveal the best flavors of Italy. The dishes you prepare will be based on traditional recipes that you can make at home, and each menu consists of four courses that change according to the season, although all are seafood based. Ingredients for the dishes will be the freshest available, as the chef will have gone to the fish market to purchase them that very morning.
The kitchen you will cook in is designed for classes, with an electric oven, professional machinery, copper and steel saucepans, and many tools for you, the students.
After preparing your meal, you'll sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labor in the impressive dining room, complete with 15-foot tall ceilings and antique furniture. Here, you'll dine in the style of a true Venetian!
