The town is known for its wonderful scenery as well as its position as one of Sicily's chicest resort towns. This is a gorgeous town with a romantic atmosphere and plenty of excellent restaurants, bars, shopping and plazas to relax and enjoy a cappuccino. You will also want to visit the Teatro Greco, the most impressive monument of the city. Built in the 3rd-century BC, the Teatro is still used today for open-air concerts. Finish your tour in Savoca, the filming location for the Corleone scenes in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather II! Visit the Bar Vitelli, where the character Michael asked the padrone for his daughter's hand in marriage, and enjoy one of their famous "granitas."
