Etna have developed into one of Italy's most intriguing wine regions and provides an excellent avenue to explore Sicily's famous hillsides. A unique taste derived from the volcanic soils has served as the catalyst for the regions rise to recognition within the wine industry and this tour will bring you straight the source! Following your pick up at the pier you will head into the villages that cover the slopes of Mt. Etna and arrive at a farm owned by a family rich in Sicilian tradition. Known for its Etna Rossa, Etna Bianco and distinct Brut wine, this mecca of Italian wine tasting will be haunting your taste buds all the way back home. A member of the family owned winery will serve as your chauffeur on this inside look of world famous viticulture. Upon arrival in Taormina you will visit The Teatro Greco, the most impressive monument of the city. The theater was originally built by the Romans in the 3rd century, and it has been used to host everything from musicals to gladiator. Also visit San Nicolo di Bari, the 13th century Duomo, and the Public Gardens, home to some 200 different plants and a lovely pagoda. Taormina is located high on a mountaintop above the harbor and is a town known for its wonderful scenery as well as its position as one of Sicily's chicest resort towns. Here you will get fantastic views of the sea and of nearby Mt. Etna, as well as a quaint medieval-village atmosphere. After you are delightfully content we will make our way back to the port. • The price of this tour does not include the 6€ per person admission to the Greek Theater.
