MONTE CARLO / VILLEFRANCHE / CANNES / NICE
EZE, LA TURBIE, AND MONTE CARLO

This tour includes:
- Round trip transportation from the cruise ship pier or your hotel
- English-speaking driver/guide in a shared van holding 8 or less passengers
Visit to:

- La Turbie
- Monte Carlo

Your adventure begins in Eze, a charming medieval village perched on the top of the mountain, rising high above the sea to give you a fantastic view. Eze is home to one of the branches of the renowned Fragonard perfumerie. Here you will get a guided visit of the factory, as well as a chance to shop at the factory store. Next, continue on to La Turbie, a 1st century BC Roman village well-known as the "Terrace" of Monaco, due to the splendid view it affords of the Principality. After La Turbie, you will be taken to Monte Carlo and The Golden Square where the famous Hotel de Paris, the Casino, the beautiful gardens and the luxury shops are located. Remember to bring your passport if you want to enter the Casino! This will be followed by a city tour, where you will be treated to an exploration of the old town on "The Rock": the Prince's Palace with the changing of the guard, the Cathedral, and the Princess Grace Memorial. Finish with a drive around the Grand Prix circuit!


CIVITAVECCHIA (ROME) ITALY
HIGHLIGHTS OF ROME

This tour includes:

- English-speaking driver in a shared van holding 8 or less passengers
- Ancient Rome of Emperors, including Colosseum (outside only)
- Renaissance and Baroque Rome of Popes, including St. Peter's Basilica

Your tour begins with the Ancient Rome of Emperors: Capitoline Hill, the famous Colosseum (from the outside), Palatine Hill, Circus Maximus, the Thermal Baths of Caracalla, Ancient Appian Way, the Catacombs, the Pantheon, and Aula Ottagona. There is also the Renaissance and Baroque Rome of Popes, including the Trevi Fountain, the beautiful Spanish Steps, St. Peter in Chains, Navona Square, Farnese Square, Janiculum Hill, and, of course, St. Peter's Basilica. St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican will be our final stop, but remember that there are days when its entrance is blocked. We may have to substitute a site when that happens.


NAPLES ITALY
POMPEII AND THE AMALFI COAST EXPERIENCE

- Private, local, licensed guide for two-hours in Pompeii
- Drive to Positano and Sorrento for sightseeing, shopping, etc.

When you reach Pompeii, your private, local licensed guide will take you on a fascinating two-hour tour through this amazing place. Once a thriving empire, the city of Pompeii had about 20,000 inhabitants in 79 AD, when it was completely covered in 30 feet of volcanic ash by the deadly eruption of Mount Vesuvius. After Pompeii, descend the winding one-way road that leads to the heart of Positano, a pretty village of seaside villas, covered in orange blossom and roses. Explore the busy central Piazza dei Mulini, connected to a narrow downhill path and some occasional flights of steps that lead to the seafront. Follow the streets to the shops selling ceramics, lemons, shoes, and "Positano fashion" clothing, and don't miss the lovely Church of Sant Maria of the Assumption, with its characteristic majolica tiled dome and bell tower. Next you will reach the town of Sorrento, where you will experience spectacular views of the entire bay of Naples and the Island of Capri as the Amalfi coast road emerges from over the mountain cliff. A short drive through the town before you arrive in the centre--a major shopping mall for locals, as well as tourists.

Please keep in mind that these are shared tours. They are not private. The tour operators must maintain his schedule for a fair and successful day for all.

Southern France : Please note that in order to "faites vous jeux" (lay your bets) at the casino you need to be over 21 years of age, have your passport, and jackets and ties are required for men (no shorts or sneakers!).

Rome : The price of this tour includes a vehicle and a wonderful English-speaking driver for the day. Your driver can tell you everything you want to know about the city, but is not a licensed guide and cannot take you into sites. Admissions, food, beverages, or gratuities are not included in the tour price. A strict dress code is enforced in St. Peter's Basilica, so please do not wear shorts, tank tops, or revealing clothing. You may be asked to check large bags, backpacks, and video cameras.

Naples : Dress comfortably. Please wear comfortable shoes for the Pompeii portion of the tour is uneven surfaces. The 11€ per person entrance fee to Pompeii is not included in the price of this tour. Food, beverages and gratuities are not included.

Rome : You are not able to visit the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums without a pre-reserved entrance. Please book THE VATICAN AND ROME WITH PRE-RESERVED TOUR for this service.

Naples : This itinerary may be reversed due to traffic on the particular day you are in port. Regardless of the itinerary order, you will still have a wonderful experience!
