You will be notified about two weeks prior to the start of the cruise with options of more expensive private trips if we are not able to run the shared tour. This tour will have the attitude of a relaxed Italian Sunday afternoon. Begin with a late start, often welcomed on the busy Mediterranean itinerary. The ride out of Naples will take you out of the bustling city and to your first stop, lunch. A favorite local Italian restaurant will feature their favorite recipes will remind you of a favorite Italian grandma, if not yours then someone else's! Re-enforced, you will begin your journey along the Amalfi coastline in a small van. You will descend the winding road that leads to the heart of Amalfi with pretty villages of seaside villas, covered in orange blossom and roses. You will have opportunities for photos along the way. The jagged cliffs and beautiful villages lining the rocks will remain forever in your mind. Along the way you will make a stop at a cameo factory. Whether or not you are in the market for a new jewel, you will enjoy learning how cameos are created. Your final stop is the town of Amalfi where you can find a gelato, a cappuccino, or a nice walk around the square. Heading back to Naples you know you will never have to imagine this area again.
