Although it is one of the most active volcanoes in the world, in general Mt. Etna is not regarded as being particularly dangerous. In fact, thousands of people live on its slopes and in the surrounding areas!
Welcome to Mt. Etna, Sicily's tallest peak and one of Europe's most famous active volcanoes. This 3,300-metre-high volcano is home to forests, impressive craters, solid lava, and more, and you will get a chance to take a look at all of the most interesting spots. Everything will be enhanced by the explanation of your guide, who will be with you throughout.
After Mt. Etna you will continue on to Taormina, located high on a mountaintop above the harbor, with great views of the sea and Mt. Etna. The town is known for its wonderful scenery as well as its position as one of Sicily's chicest resort towns.
This is a gorgeous town with a romantic atmosphere and plenty of excellent restaurants, bars, shopping and plazas to relax and enjoy a cappuccino. You may also choose to visit the Teatro Greco, the most impressive monument of the city, or wander the boutiques and cafés along the stylish Corso Umberto.
