Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   We stay here whenever we are in Auckland and it is fabulous every time. This time we got a free Upgrade to a beautiful corner King Suite. WOW, we get more impressed every time. The staff are Superb and nothing is a bother. Thank You Sky City Grand.

Review:   Was happy to spend a few days here after 3 weeks touring NZ. Quiet, private and relaxing despite being city centre. Comfortable rooms of a good size. Can walk everywhere and plenty of great restaurants within 200m. Only disappointment would be the majority of staff encountered on reception, through room service and housekeeping. Seemed either insufficiently trained or understaffed.

Review:   Enjoyed the stay, staff professional, friendly and accommodating. Good room options, and mini bar etc. Good hotel facilities and good location and views (depending on which side you're on and floor level obviously). Did expect the room to be a little cleaner for this grade of hotel, just minor things like dusty shelves, marks on mirrors, coffee table a little worse for wear etc (could easily be brought up to standard with a little bit extra effort). 11am checkout.

Review:   Up on the 2st with great views. Comfortable bed, two TV's one in bedroom and one in lounge. Dining table that sits 4. A separate toilet from the main bathroom. Overall a great room for overnight stay or longer. Breakfast was great and the bar had good service with some free snacks. Central location so very easy to get around.

Review:   Had dinner at Gusto and can't wait to return. I can't fault any part of the service. Sean Connolly has a great team that brings the true sense of the Italian 'family' to your table through their attention to detail (not one spelling mistake in the menu!), atmosphere and food. Bravo e grazie!
