OverviewTravel to the village of Touna for a unique cultural experience. Welcome to Dominica, an island of lush rain forests, mountainous terrain, rare plant and animal species, and a rich cultural heritage. This distinctive tour will take you on a rare journey through Dominica’s beautiful countryside on your way to the village of Touna. Your journey through this fascinating land begins with a guided scenic drive through Dominica’s famous lush, green rain forest. As you proceed to Concord, via Springfield Valley, your guide will enlighten you on the history of the area, as well as many other interesting aspects of Dominican life. Upon arrival in Touna Village, you'll be met by your Carib Indian tour guide. During an introductory walk through this little village, you'll be met with fun-filled experiences around every corner. Meet the local Kalinago people, who will teach you about their history and tales of survival. Try your hand at basket weaving, sugar cane juice squeezing, fruit picking (and sampling!), and more. Tour the herbal garden, where you'll get the chance to discover the secrets of natural healing. You'll even meet a former Carib Chief! By now, you'll surely be hungry and ready to enjoy your lunch in the "Karbet" while enjoying a traditional cultural presentation. After lunch, visit the crystal clear Pagua River before heading back to the cruise ship pier. - This tour includes lunch at the Karbet in Touna Village. You will have the opportunity to do some shopping at the Touna Village craft market. This trip requires you to purchase a minimum of 10 spaces. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
