The Graycliff Experience - ExclusiveExplore > Bahamas > Nassau > The Graycliff Experience - ExclusiveOverviewA personally escorted tour and taste of an exclusive hotel. How many times have you been to Nassau? Did you know there was an historic inn built by a reformed pirate that served as Al Capone's getaway in the 1920s? We did--and we've always been fascinated by it. Everytime we have stopped in Nassau, we have visited it. For years, it underwent refurbishment. Although the property has always had a magnetic personality, it is at its best right now. That is why we were determined to make it available to our travelers. Upon your arrival at the Graycliff grounds, you'll be greeted and taken on a tour of this wonderful property. Visit the Wine Cellar, the largest in the Caribbean and one of the top 10 in the western hemisphere. Here, you'll view the 250,000 bottles from over 400 vintners in 15 countries that have been personally collected by Enrico Garzaroli, Graycliff's owner and master sommelier. Lunch will be served in one of the lovely dining rooms and will be accompanied by a delicious punch or glass of wine, although not from the vintage worth $5,000 per bottle! A visit to the small tobacco factory attached to the hotel will be the crowning glory to the day. The 14 torcedores rolling these perfect cigars were selected by Avelino Lara, the man who was behind the Cohiba cigars in Cuba. Today, Lara is happily retired and has worked with Graycliff to create the Graycliff Cigar Company next to the hotel. Cigars will be available for purchase and can be legally brought into the U.S., but you'll also be able to relax in their smoking lounge or outdoor patio. - This tour is offered Monday through Friday only. - Please note this tour is not offered the following dates in 2019: Jan 1 and 10, April 19 and 22, June 7 and 10, Jul 10, Aug 5, October 14, Dec 25 and 26.
