Review:   Recommended for: Honeymoons and Romantic Celebrations!

Pros: The Outrigger Reef on the Beach is one of the few resorts that sits directly on the Waikiki Beach. They offer excellent rates and packages that include breakfast. Their rooms offer direct ocean front views of the ocean. They feature one the best local restaurants, The Shorebird where you can pick out your selection (beef, chicken and fish) and cook your entree on the large grill just steps away from the ocean's edge! At night the restaurant turns into an electric atmosphere with music and Karaoke! They also have a late night beach bar with daily specials. The Outrigger Reef on the beach is one of the best places to watch the Aloha Friday's Fireworks display!

Cons: None.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Great hotel and restaurant. Pool is shaded most of the day except between 10am and 1pm. Beach is pretty good for snorkeling and seeing turtles and has a great sunset! Go in the early morning for best snorkeling. Beach is not so good for swimming. Very rocky. I'd say walk left about 10 min until you see 100 people in the water and that is where there is no rocks. 4 stars due to beach access. We were unable to swim in front of the hotel.

Review:   Wife and i came here for our honeymoon. This hotel is really nice as is all the staff we encountered. The rooms were also really nice and super clean. There restaurant and hotel bar has great food and drinks. Pool area can get a little crowded at times but that's fine We came for the beach. This hotel is an easy choice for us when we return in the future.

Review:   Our favorite place to stay in Waikiki. We visited in 2011while staying elsewhere and we came back in 2012 and stayed there for a week. The rooms are great, the decor is wonderful, the dining choices are superb and there are several boutique shops right there in the hotel. Don't miss breakfast right by Waikiki Beach while you're there. My wife and I even participated in the Vow Renewal Ceremony offered by the hotel. It was beautiful! There is really no need to look elsewhere for us. When we return to Waikiki, we already know where we will be staying.

Review:   Our first visit to Hawaii was fantastic thanks to Outrigger👍 From surfing, to playing ukulele, to relaxing by the pool, they have it all. Great pool food/drink service. Recommend the Mai Tai in a pineapple (eat the pineapple after drinking it too). Trolley is free when you present your room card to Trolley driver (take trolley early to Diamond Head to hike up this dormant volcano-hike entry fee of $1) Dole Whip available at local ABC Store only 3 min away👍 Oceanfront is easily accessible through hotel. Pier walk is there too from which we watch turtles playing and eating. The pier is perfect for sunset photos too👍

Review:   Currently going through a beach renovation, normal beach access is closed. The only way to get to the beach through the hotel is via a service walkway. The Reef restaurant (formerly Shore Bird) is now glassed in instead of open air. Edit 7/28 Normal beach access is now open. The renovation looks great. Correction on The Reef restaurant. The glass panels are retracted during the day to make it an open air restaurant.
