Located in the heart of Perth city, at 1 St Georges Terrace, the 5 star Duxton Hotel is the perfect accommodation venue for travellers staying in Perth, Western Australia.

For leisure guests, you will discover Perth's major shopping, entertainment and restaurant centres only a few minutes walk away. With the hotel situated just a short stroll from the Swan River, Barrack Street Jetty, Hay Street and the Bell Tower, you can also enjoy the rare beauty of nearby central parklands and riverside walkways.

Enjoy a short boat trip across the river to South Perth, where there are many waterfront restaurants to choose from or visit the Perth Zoo. You can also choose to catch a boat for a glorious wine river cruise to the Swan Valley, or take a trip to Fremantle.

For business clients, the Duxton Hotel is located in walking distance to the main business hub of the city and the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, or take advantage of the complimentary chauffer transfers along St Georges Terrace through to the business district in West Perth.

Due to our central location and our choice of accommodation rooms, the hotel is also ideal for delegates attending a conference in house or at a nearby venue.

Occupying the site once known as Christian Brother's College and formerly the Perth Taxation Office, the facade of the hotel provides an aura of culture and sophistication. The hotel is a well known landmark in the City of Perth.

The Duxton Hotel offers easy access for vehicles of any type, due to the spacious driveway with it's own taxi rank, and large porte couchere. Buses travelling along St Georges Terrace are free if you are heading into the city centre.

The hotel is the perfect choice when you stay in Perth Western Australia, whether your visit is for business or leisure.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Had a lunch meeting in the dining room. Service was good. Food choice for a buffet was good and nicely presented. Plates were small and made for a few smiles. I get they want to limit over eating maybe. These plates were on the large side of bread and butter plates you have to the side of your setting. A/C must be evaporated? It was a three star experience but to the lower side of three.

Review:   We celebrated Xmas with friends at the Duxton. The food was smorgasbord and ok. The waitress and waiters were attentive. Not really happy with the choice of music during the meal. It was loud and we can't hear anyone talking. After that it improved and we were able to dance.

Review:   I stayed Friday to Sunday in room 307. Walking into the hotel for the first time, staff were courteous but some were looking at me a little odd because I was still wearing the tracksuit pants and comfy shirt I wore on my flight to Perth. I'm guessing I didn't fit into their general clientele profile wearing comfy clothes The room itself was fine. The bed and room were clean. The bathroom was OK, albeit very old. This showed even more when I went to take a shower - the water pressure was abysmal. I mentioned this to the staff at concierge, who tried to play it off as too many people showering at the same time. I wonder how many people were taking a shower at 11am on a Friday The king bedrooms have no kitchen or laundry facilities, but there are shared laundry facilities on the floor. The lighting is poor, with lamps on the bed side table being your main source of light at night - useless if your trying to get dressed to go out Baggage handlers were courteous, and a special mention to staff member Eduardo, who was the most helpful during my stay The pool was 1.2m (shallow) and maybe 20 metres x 10 metres. Double the size of a big backyard pool, but very small for a hotel. The spa was minuscule, you couldn't fit more than 2 people without touching, and fitting 4 would be a squeeze. The sandstone edge around the spa was old and showing its age, cracked and caked with white gap seal - not a good look for an upmarket hotel. I'd expect better from my local pool All in all a pleasant stay, except for the poor shower pressure and lack of proper room lighting. I was informed the rooms are currently being refurbished, so we'll see if it's been improved next year
