If you're looking for a regal retreat that gives you two vacations in one: a sophisticated European resort that is steeped in history, and the adventure of an exotic offshore island that includes every amenity imaginable, Sandals Royal Bahamian is for you.

Home to Nassau's most coveted beaches, as well as the exclusive cottage-style suites of The Royal Village, this is considered the Caribbean's most elegant resort including the ultimate 'royal treatment' - chauffeured Rolls Royce airport transportation for guests in top-tier suites.

Imagine a sanctuary so alluring the Duke and Duchess of Windsor made it their epicenter for high society as the famed Balmoral Club of the 1940s. Today, transformed into the Sandals Royal Bahamian, it remains an oasis of European grandeur where guests are still treated as royals. Voted "Top Spa Resort" by readers of Conde Nast Traveler, Sandals Royal Bahamian is considered to be the most elegant resort in the Bahamas. Seductive alabaster sand beaches and crystalline waters embrace tropical gardens and opulent suites—some the size of private villas—complete with every imaginable amenity, even your own butler.

Authentic Bahamian architecture embodies the warmth of the islands, while the secluded Royal Village exudes an aura of peace, serenity, and ultra privacy. Top-tier suite guests make an imperial entrance from their chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce—our compliments. And only Sandals gives you two vacations in one: Included is an exotic escape to Sandals' romantic offshore Island just minutes away with two secluded coastlines, a chic beach club, signature pool with swim-up bar, the exquisite Red Lane Spa*, and the region's best seafood house. Culinary dreams come true in ten superb restaurants resort-wide. Sandals Royal Bahamian is the best of all worlds—European elegance and island romance all wrapped up in one unforgettable vacation.

Review:   Recommended for: couples

Pros: This is a highly recommended all-inclusive in Nassau. My favorite suites are swim up suites, where you can step out of your room into your own private lounge chairs and access to a pool.

Cons: None.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Review:   My husband and I loved spending the second half of our honeymoon at Sandals! The food was delicious ,especially the chocolate molten cake at the Crystal room and the Linguine Casanova at Casanovas! The rooms were comfortable and always clean when we came back and the staff always had huge smiles on their faces. We've never met a more friendly and personable staff who make staying at Sandals even better. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable and the Sandals island was a relaxing place to go for the day. We enjoyed every minute we spent here and would love to come back again.

Review:   Gorgeous resort. The staff is superb, the food is amazing and the rooms are very nice. If you want to party and participate in lots of activities then this is the place for you. If you want a romantic quiet and peaceful getaway it is still the place for you. The resort is big enough with multiple pools, bars and restaurants that you can do everything or nothing when you are a guest at Sandals Royal Bahamian. This was my 3rd visit.

Review:   Due to weather, our flights were cancelled and caused our arrival time to be delayed 2 days. We lost our very upgraded room which was understood, but received no credit. Actually we were charged more money and the room was small and no amenities. This was our 8th sandals/beaches trip and no one cared. While there, an outbreak of a virus infected most of the resort. The unsanitary resort tried to act but fell short. Our Butler service was less than accommodating, however friends of ours also had Butler service and theirs were more than attentive to all of us, so this was clearly a personnel and management issue not an overall service issue. We also received impeccable Butler service last year at a sandals in Jamaica. Sandals will still most likely get our money for future trips but we will absolutely shop around now and never trust local staff for "deals" while there. They honor nothing.

Review:   Had a great time here. Really enjoyed catching the 10am ferry over to the island and snagging a cabana to relax at all day. Several turtles hang out in the cove on the North side. Favorite place for breakfast was Baccarat. Really enjoyed their dinner as well but reservations for it filled up quick. Dinner on the pier at Gordon's was great as well. The wait can be about an hour so we got there about an hour and fifteen before sunset and had a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the water.

Review:   Stopped here with a day pass while on a cruise ship. We reflected back in this saying we probably should have just come here for the long weekend rather than going on the cruise; it was pretty great. Staff were pleasant, drinks and food good, and seemed like there was plenty to do between Nassau and the private island the resort. FYI for those cruising and attempting to get a day pass: go early, call ahead, and bring your passport. It was about $125 per person in March 2018 but I felt like it was well worth it in food/drinks/beach/staff waiting on you.
