Overview

Imagine a sanctuary so alluring the Duke and Duchess of Windsor made it their epicenter for high society as the famed Balmoral Club of the 1940s. Today, transformed into the Sandals Royal Bahamian, it remains an oasis of European grandeur where guests are still treated as royals. Voted "Top Spa Resort" by readers of Conde Nast Traveler, Sandals Royal Bahamian is considered to be the most elegant resort in the Bahamas. Seductive alabaster sand beaches and crystalline waters embrace tropical gardens and opulent suites—some the size of private villas—complete with every imaginable amenity, even your own butler.

Authentic Bahamian architecture embodies the warmth of the islands, while the secluded Royal Village exudes an aura of peace, serenity, and ultra privacy. Top-tier suite guests make an imperial entrance from their chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce—our compliments. And only Sandals gives you two vacations in one: Included is an exotic escape to Sandals' romantic offshore Island just minutes away with two secluded coastlines, a chic beach club, signature pool with swim-up bar, the exquisite Red Lane Spa*, and the region's best seafood house. Culinary dreams come true in ten superb restaurants resort-wide. Sandals Royal Bahamian is the best of all worlds—European elegance and island romance all wrapped up in one unforgettable vacation.

Review:   Recommended for: couples

Pros: This is a highly recommended all-inclusive in Nassau. My favorite suites are swim up suites, where you can step out of your room into your own private lounge chairs and access to a pool.

Cons: None.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Treated like royals in luxurious surroundings. We were transported to the resort in a shiny Rolls Royce. Stayed in the Windsor one bedroom suite. Our Butler and supporting staff anticipated our desires even before we did! They obviously made mental notes of our likes/dislikes and bent over backwards to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. A lot of activities, great food, entertainment, shopping, night life, music and the best diving!

Review:   Money was taken from our room and the head of security, Devon, made sarcastic jokes about it being stolen by a ghost, and accused me of losing the money. Because of the way Devon treated my case I will never book with any Sandals resort again. The resort was well kept and the food was good. The steak at Gordon's was delicious. Service was 50/50, sometimes our fridge would get restocked, sometimes not. Sometimes towels would come to our room, sometimes not. The morning cleaning crew were constantly speaking really loudly in the hallways and would wake me up early every day. Entertainment by the pool was fun and the room was fine (Windsor penthouse). Overall I was incredibly offended by Devon and I will never book with any Sandals resort again.

Review:   Our stay was a great time. We were treated with respect and the staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were all happy. Lots of activities and things to do. The island was fun although the bugs could sometimes be a pain. Only getting 4 stars due to the price and bugs around the island. Other than that, we had a great time and loved our stay.

Review:   I will start that we have not yet stayed at this resort, we will be staying here in the middle of May 2018. We did however stay at the Sandals in Antigua for two weeks for our honeymoon in May of 2016; that stay could not have been better, absolutely fantastic. The reason for my review today is the 'policies' in place by Sandals. My wife booked our trip on April 19th, I found five days later there is a significant discount for the same room, during the same period of time (about 20% or $841). I called simply asking they honor the new rate being provided and was told that since we are within 30 days of travel we cannot have our rate adjusted (not sure correlation there is between a policy of changing a reservation and providing a different rate..but OK). I then asked what concessions can be made for us (Spa credit, dinner on the beach, resort credit...) basically anything so I don't feel like I'm getting robbed of almost a grand. They said there is nothing they can do. I truly feel this is something that needs to be addressed, going by the letter of the law in a policy is causing Sandals future business and I'm not sure upper management knows this is happening. I tried to explain to the customer service rep that if they do not make any concessions they will be loosing our business for any trip in the future. We are both 30, so there is a solid 30 years of travel to Sandals resorts they are missing out on over an $841 dollar discount. Just seems like a terrible business as well as financial move on their part. For reference, between these two trips we have spent about 15K at Sandals in two years, extrapolate that out over 30 more years, they are loosing out on $225,000 worth of travel from us over $841...just makes no business sense.
