Bordered on one side by beautiful coastline and the other by magnificent rainforests, Byron Bay is ideally positioned as a centre for relaxation and activity. Situated at the easternmost point in Australia, this stylish coastal village enjoys a subtropical climate with clean air, crystal clear water and pristine beaches. In today's hectic world it also offers a chance to escape from the mundane and immerse yourself in wellness activities such as yoga and meditation or simply chill out on the beach.

Those wanting to experience the natural surroundings can partake in activities such as kayaking with the dolphins, snorkelling and scuba diving or head inland to discover world heritage national parks and lush rainforests. While the adventurous can try tandem skydiving, horse riding along the beach, hang gliding or windsurfing. Surfing is also popular and the beaches in Byron Bay offer some excellent options, even for beginners.

The local cuisine is superb and cafés, bistros and award winning restaurants abound. The retail experience is uniquely Byron, with local artisans, and crafts people supported in a diverse range of outlets alongside internationally renowned brands. You can browse the local markets or visit one of the surrounding villages, such as Bangalow, which has a sophisticated yet rustic vibe.

The area truly does offer something for everyone from great surf to peaceful rainforests and luxury experiences to spiritual development.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   What a beautiful place! The chalet is luxurious, clean and well-appointed. The beach is a short walk away. Everything is perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer

Review:   Wonderful retreat, further out of town than I initially anticipated. Absolutely stunning grounds inside the resort. The beach, from the resort is not a 5min walk, don’t believe the marketing hype. If you have a room in the seperate deluxe spa rooms, you are much closer to the beach, but still more than 5mind away. From the central area in the resort (pool/reception) its a good 15mins walk if you move with purpose. It’s faster to drive there and park in the same beach entry area. Rooms are nice, bathtub is the largest I’ve seen in any hotel/resort (non spa room). Few mishaps with dinner orders and the like, staff servicing the pool area could be much more attentive in regards to drink/snack orders. Overall a wonderful place and a great escape, but I was left thinking “it’s not perfect, but it could be”.

Review:   Nice resort, with rooms set among the bush. The rooms (more like granny flats) were spacious and well equipped, including a kitchenette and washing machine. It's a fair way from central Byron, so rent a car or use the rental bikes.

Review:   Horrible stay made worse by the rude, inconsiderate staff! The location, scenery and accommodation were above average, almost amazing. Holiday ruined by the food, lack of service, rude staff and bugs galore!
