Bordered on one side by beautiful coastline and the other by magnificent rainforests, Byron Bay is ideally positioned as a centre for relaxation and activity. Situated at the easternmost point in Australia, this stylish coastal village enjoys a subtropical climate with clean air, crystal clear water and pristine beaches. In today's hectic world it also offers a chance to escape from the mundane and immerse yourself in wellness activities such as yoga and meditation or simply chill out on the beach.

Those wanting to experience the natural surroundings can partake in activities such as kayaking with the dolphins, snorkelling and scuba diving or head inland to discover world heritage national parks and lush rainforests. While the adventurous can try tandem skydiving, horse riding along the beach, hang gliding or windsurfing. Surfing is also popular and the beaches in Byron Bay offer some excellent options, even for beginners.

The local cuisine is superb and cafés, bistros and award winning restaurants abound. The retail experience is uniquely Byron, with local artisans, and crafts people supported in a diverse range of outlets alongside internationally renowned brands. You can browse the local markets or visit one of the surrounding villages, such as Bangalow, which has a sophisticated yet rustic vibe.

The area truly does offer something for everyone from great surf to peaceful rainforests and luxury experiences to spiritual development.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Review:   Love this place. Peaceful and family friendly holiday destination in byron. Best resort in Byron. Food is amazing too. Staff are always lovely and the atmosphere is magic. We dine here every time we are in town. This place NEVER disappoints 😊 On Sunday we were greeted with 3 kookaburras and also had the privilege of feeding them. Truly amazing x

Review:   I walked in to this resort, just wanting to have a little walk. There was a nice board walk to the beach (only assessable with a resort card). Afterwards we sat down at their pool side bar and had the cheeseboard which comes with your choice of 2 wines. This was priced at $38. The selection of wines was extensive and the cheese board was lovely. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Review:   Where do i start, maybe point by point will work. 1. The Byron on Byron is surrounded by a swamp, why wouldn't you mention this? We stayed 5 nights got bitten by bugs as we slept and still scratching 2 weeks afterwards. 2.Dinning there is such a joke, who is responsible for the supervision of cooked food and a reasonable menu. if you don't have any expertise in Italian food for god sake admit it and do fish and chips how foolish of you people. There is no inspiration in the kitchen they need to be replaced spraying the bugs. 3. its not located on the beach its a kilometer away, its located on swampland. 4.Breakfast was the same EVERY DAY, we went to town and eat there several times not to let depression into our lives. 5. the buildings were nice however 6.the spa and treatment was the nicest thing there. 7. The staff were mostly friendly in a ship with lots of leaks. 8. i wouldn't spend the money i have spent there ever again, life is too short.

Review:   So I wanted to find a peaceful getaway from the main part of Byron Bay and this was it! I spent the day enjoying great service in the restaurant and then I ended up asking if there were any rooms available for NYE and luckily there was one room left. I decided I must stay here and I stayed in the deluxe room. The staff were so helpful and kind and it was such a beautiful room. There is a forest boardwalk you can do, with beautiful scenery everywhere. It is definitely a must if you're in Byron Bay and want to have a luxurious time for your luxurious self! Kind and respectful people here too. They have a delicious breakfast too. I definitely enjoyed my time and know you will too! Thank-you to the staff at the Byron Resort & Spa. I will definitely be back soon! Much love xx
