Private tastings are ideal for wine lovers looking for a more intimate and engaging wine tasting experience.
Relax away from the crowds as we usher you through our winery, cave and wines. Our winemakers and staff know that wine means different things to different people. We are most happy to cater your tour according to your interests or needs.
--WINEMAKER'S EXPERIENCE
$225 pp, includes two course lunch,

Enter the world of the winemaker!
Your tour will be hosted by one of our Winemakers. This is your chance to understand what the creators of the wine really think: what styles they are striving to create, what their challenges are, what they think of the latest vintage.
Each tour will be unique, entertaining and extensive. Tours will vary according to the time of year, but expect barrel tastings, engaging conversation, and access to beautiful wines.
The ultimate end to your tour will be a relaxing two course lunch at the vineyard restaurant, complete with our award-winning wine.
--PRESTIGE TOUR
$175 pp, includes two course lunch,
minimum two people.
Hosted by a senior member of the Cellar Door team, the Prestige Tour is for those who want an individual, all encompassing Gibbston Valley experience.
In relaxing surrounds, your tasting will include the best of current releases and past classics. Your guide will likely be a past classic him / herself with a wealth of information to boot!
You will tour the vineyard and cave, and return to the Restaurant for a two-course lunch – accompanied by our award winning wines of course.
--WINEMAKER'S LUNCH
Sit down for a three-course lunch with one of Gibbston Valley Wines' winemaking team, chief winemaker, Christopher Keys or winemaker Sascha Herbert to discuss the finer points of winemaking at Gibbston Valley Wines. Our winemakers can share with you the history of the winery, the inspiration behind our award-winning wines, and the art – and science – of wine and food matching.
The Winemaker's Lunch is $100 per person, including lunch and accompanied by our award-winning wines. Bookings are required, with a minimum group size of two people.
--CUSTOMIZED WINE EXPERIENCE
For a unique wine tasting experience, we can also customise a tasting tour specifically around your interests. Whether it's a preference for white grape varieties, or a love of Pinot Noir, we can create your very own unique tour, complete with lunch and wine at our vineyard restaurant.
